Problem Description:

General Description:
2.1i_sp2 Design Manager will either hang or seg fault, producing the
following msg:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
on Solaris 2.7 (SunOS 5.7) environment, but will boot up when invoked
from a Solaris 2.6 (SunOS 5.6) machine.
Solution 1:
NOTE: This issue does not seem to be occurring on all systems
Solaris machines that are being upgraded with patches for Y2k
compliance ( from Solaris 2.6 -> Solaris 2.7), are in certain cases
experiencing the Segmentation Fault described above.
This issue is addressed by installing the SP3 release (or higher), available at:
http://support.xilinx.com/support/techsup/sw_updates/
