Cable - Voltage Interface Capabilities of the MultiLINX, Parallel cable III, and XChecker cables

Record #8096

Problem Title:
Cable - Voltage Interface Capabilities of the MultiLINX, Parallel cable III, and XChecker cables

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General description:

A listing of the voltage standards supported by the various configuration
cables from Xilinx

Solution 1:

MultiLINX:
MultiLINX can configure devices 5V, 3.3V, and 2.5V i/o. By default, the
MultiLINX cable's i/o can configure a device with either a 3.3V or 5V interface.

Parallel Cable III:
The Parallel Cable III can configure devices with 5V, 3.3V, and 2.5V i/o.
To select a voltage standard to use with the JTAG cable, adjust the VCC
pin of the JTAG cable to the desired level. For example, if you wanted to
configure a 3.3V part with the JTAG cable, connect the VCC pin of the
JTAG cable to a 3.3V power supply.

XChecker Cable:
The XChecker cable can configure devices with either 5V or 3.3V i/o.
By default, the XChecker interfaces at 5V. If the XChecker will be used
to interface with a device with 3.3V i/o, then the 3.3V adapter must be
used with the cable.
