Problem Title:
Prom File Formatter 2.1is3 (Solaris only) :Takes a long time to start up (hangs)

Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

Since the Prom File Formatter searches the entire directory tree for bit files, on the unix workstations, it takes forever to start up as the customer usually
launches it from their project directory.

Solution 1:

The actual launch of the program and population of the toolbar and menus is at
least partially dependant on the presence of .windu and .Windu directories. If they are present, it seems to start up fairly quickly. If they don't exist, they need to be built. In most cases, it's seems to take a long time to "read the directory". This is generally because of the large directory structure present on UNIX-based machines. However, the PFF will come up successfully in all cases. In order to reduce this read directory time, start the PFF in a directory closer (or in) the root directory (/).
