The Cable is not recognised by the Hardware Debugger tool, when connected to
the XESS demo board.
Solution 1:
XESS are a 3rd Party demo-board manufacturer, their boards are supplied with a
XESS parallel cable which is incompatible with the Xilinx Hardware Debugger.
The Xilinx parallel cable looks like this:-

whereas the XESS cable looks similar to a printer cable but with a 25pin "D" connector
on each end.
Xilinx .BIT files can be downloaded to the board, but some specialist software from
XESS must be used. This software is supplied with the demo-board.
Alternatively, the Xilinx XCHECKER or Parallel III cable can be used, but the XESS cable
must be disconnected, and a separate power cable must be used to power the demo board.
