2.1i Virtex-E Map: XCV600E-BG32 Map report lists an incorrect number of bonded IOBs.


Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

Problem Description
When running Map version 2.1i, targeting XCV600E-BG432 device,
map report will indicate that there are only 312 bonded IOBs. Where
as Par report indicates that there are 316 Number of External IOBs.

If design contains more than 312 IOs then, you may get a following map error:

ERROR:xvkpu:50 - Design is too large for the given device and package


Solution 1:

This problem will be fixed in the first major release (as yet
unnamed following 2.1i which is due to become available
in May, 2000.

Meanwhile, if this problem is causing Map to fail due to
over-mapping, the work around is to add the "-m" switch
to the Map command line.
