What is the Xilinx Student Edition?

The Xilinx Student Edition package (ISBN 0-13-671629-6) is sold by Prentice Hall. This
package contains three components to provide a complete design environment for students:

   1.Student Edition of the Xilinx Foundation Series Software 1.3, based on M1-Technology.
   2.A Hardware Discount Coupon to obtain either (or both) of the XC95108 and XC4005XL
      based development boards for $129 (U.S.). A download cable and instructions are
      included with each board.
   3.The "Practical Xilinx Designer" Lab Tutorial (300 page paperback) by David van den
      Bout

The "Practical Xilinx Designer" Lab Tutorial book (ISBN 0-13-095502-7), is also sold
separately by Prentice Hall.

You must register on the Xilinx site for XSE before you can obtain a license to run the student edition of the Xilinx Foundation Series Software.
