Subject: Change Notification (PCN95004) - Qualification of ASTRA Microtronics Technology as a New Assembly Subcontractor.

Products Affected: Plastic Quad Flat Packs (TQ, PQ)

Change Description: The addition of ASTRA Microtronics Technology in Batam, Indonesia, as a Qualified Assembly Facility. ASTRA is now qualified to assemble Plastic Quad Flat Pack products for Xilinx.

Product Change: There are no changes in electrical or mechanical specifications. The package piece parts (mold compound, leadframe, etc.) as well as the manufacturing processes are totally compatible with the Plastic Quad Flat Pack products that Xilinx currently supplies.

Reason For Change: To provide additional assembly capability for Plastic Quad Flat Pack products. This change is part of our continuous effort towards improving total customer satisfaction.

Qualification Data: Xilinx performed an on-site audit of this facility in May, 1995, to verify ASTRA's conformance to Xilinx' and ISO-9002 quality system requirements. (ASTRA has 9002 certification). Reliability Qualification Testing was also performed. Summary qualification test data is enclosed. ASTRA passed all Xilinx requirements to be qualified for assembly manufacturing.
