Change Description:
The slowest speed grades of the XC3000
and XC4000 SMD (both Standard Military Drawing and commercial M-grade)
products referenced above are being eliminated.
Reason For Change: The 0.8µM (10% shrink) process
formerly used to produce these parts has migrated to the 0.6µM process.
The 0.8µM (10% shrink) process is no longer available. The listed
replacement products (while having faster minimum delays) are form, fit
and functionally equivalent to the discontinued parts (meeting all specifications
in the appropriate SMD.
Xilinx remains strongly committed to servicing the Aerospace and Defense
Markets through our QML program, as is evidenced by our recent release
of 4 new SMDs, encompassing 20 new individual devices. Xilinx plans to
continue support of Military Grade XC3000 and XC4000 products (in the faster
speed grade) for the foreseeable future.
Key Dates: Last date to order any discontinued product
above is 15 January, 2000 with last time ship of 15 April, 2000. This allows
our customers more than one year to plan for this product obsolescence.
