Additional Information
| WebFITTER requires an SSL-capable browser that supports JavaScript
1.2 and frames. Both Netscape Communicator 4.0 (or later) and Microsoft
Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later) support these requirements. |

Xilinx is committed to providing a Web access environment that is secure

for our customers. We follow extremely high standards to ensure the
highest level of security on our Web site. For instance, we prevent others
from seeing your designs during transmission on the Internet by using the
current Internet security standard known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
encryption. By using this standard, we can assure you that what you type
into your computer, the design files that you submit, and the responses
and reports we return to you are protected by the highest possible security
protocols.
Since e-mailing is not encrypted or secure, we only use e-mail to send
you the status of your design. The secure SSL encrypted connection is used
to upload your designs and download the results. To access the WebFITTER,
you will need a Web browser that is capable of interpreting SSL. Current
browsers, such as Netscape Communicator 4.x and Microsoft Internet Explorer
4.x, meet this requirement.
SSL ensures that your data is secure during transmission. Privacy refers
to limiting access to WebFITTER to bona-fide users and ensuring that your
designs are seen by no one you and the authorized Xilinx support personnel.
We protect your privacy through a number of measures:

Requiring all users to register and limiting the visibility of designs
and reports to their legitimate owners

Storing all data in a place not directly accessible over the Web

Providing data only after the users authenticate themselves

Protecting your access to the WebFITTER by a password that you select

Assuring that you are indeed submitting a design to the Xilinx server by
having a Verisign digital server certificate your browser each time you
sign on.
By default, designs are deleted 14 days after they are processed. You can
override
the default, at any time, by deleting a design from the WebFITTER (after
you have downloaded the results) or by saving it for an extended period.
With your permission, we will keep your design in an anonymous database
for benchmarking and improving our software products. You may also choose
not to have your designs used for this purpose. |
