Subject: Xilinx is making a change to the XC9500XL to improve
yields. This will require a change in the programming algorithm for XC9500XL
Family: XC9536XL, XC9572XL, XC95144XL, and XC95288XL.
Change Description: Xilinx is changing to a -02 on the JTAG ID register. This code is read by JTAG Programmer and other third party JTAG tools. Additionally, the Product Code used by the HW-130 and third party programmers has changed and are: 9536XL 30 HexProduct Change: This is a yield enhancement. It does not affect any electrical characteristic of the devices with the exception of the programming voltages. These voltages can only be accessed externally in a special mode in a dedicated parallel programming environment such as the Xilinx HW130, or programmers offered by manufacturers such as BP Microsystems and Data I/O. 3rd Party Programmer Customers: BP Microsystems - all programmers
Data-IO - Unisys family of programmers
Other programmer vendors
ATE customers:
No changes are required if the customer created the SVF files (which are translated to the different ATE formats) using JTAGProgrammer version M1.5 or greater. If an earlier version of JTAGProgrammer was used to create the SVF files, please upgrade to M2.1i (or M2.1i SP1) and re-generate the SVF files and the tester vectors. Embedded micro controller customers:
If an earlier version of JTAGProgrammer was used to create the SVF files, please upgrade to M2.1i (or M2.1i SP1) and regenerate the SVF and XSVF files. |
