The following graph shows an example of XC4000E-1 performance improvements over the XC4000E-2. It compares global (pin-to-pin) clock-to-out in nanoseconds between the XC4000E-1 and the XC4000E-2 for each XC4000E device. The XC4000E-1 is up to 33% faster with global clock-to-out delays ranging from less than 6ns (XC4003E) to slightly over 7ns (XC4020E). Improvements to these kinds of critical performance parameters like global clock-to-out enable the XC4000E-1 to be effective in a number of key application segments (e.g. PCI, DSP) across various industries (e.g. networking, telecommunications).
