Bruce Weyer
Senior Director, Marketing High-End FPGA Business Unit

As senior director of marketing, Bruce Weyer is responsible for product marketing and applications efforts for the Xilinx High-End FPGA Business Unit. Before joining Xilinx, he served as director of marketing at Actel Corporation, and held marketing and engineering positions at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. and Lockheed Missiles & Space Company. Weyer has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration from Santa Clara University.

 

Wallace Westfeldt
Marketing Manager, Internet Reconfigurable Logic

As Manager of IRL program, Mr. Westfeldt's responsibilities include all aspects of product definition, introduction to market, promotion, and management of the IRL concept and subsequent or related product lines. IRL is considered a key element for the Xilinx value proposition for the next several years. Since 1996, he has held other marketing positions at Xilinx such as Manager of EDA Alliance Program, and Manager of Software Field Marketing.

Previous to Xilinx, he was employed at XVT, an application development tools provider, as Business Development Manger, Manager of Partners Program, and Director of Technical Support. Mr. Westfeldt holds degrees from Colorado University and Brinker School of Surveying.

 

Kapil Shankar
Senior Director, High Volume Business Unit

Currently, Mr. Shankar is responsible for all marketing efforts related to the Spartan/XL and mature FPGA families as senior director of the business unit. As Director of Competitive Marketing, Mr. Shankar was principally responsible for competitive analysis marketing, corporate applications, high-density product marketing, and vertical applications.

Mr. Shankar joined Xilinx in 1995 as a product marketing manager. He was previously the Director of Marketing at Lattice Corporation. Mr. Shankar holds an MS degree from Renesselaer Polytechnic Institute in Computer and Systems Engineering. He has over ten patents and has published over 20 papers and articles in industry journals.

 

Kenn Perry
Director of Software Marketing

Mr. Perry is responsible for all marketing efforts for Xilinx software design support in worldwide and product marketing.

Before joining the company, he was Vice President of Marketing at NeoCAD and became Director of Software Marketing at Xilinx as a result of a merger. Before joining NeoCAD, he was director of marketing for packaging and interconnect at Cadence Design Systems. Prior to Cadence, Perry served as manager of CAD/CAM operation at Cadnetix. He has also held marketing management positions at Mentor Graphics.

Perry attended San Jose State University and the University of Phoenix.

 

Scott Lewis
Director, CPLD Marketing

Mr. Lewis has been with Xilinx for six years, most recently serving as director of CPLD marketing. His responsibilities include all marketing duties for the Xilinx XC9500, CPLD software and the new CoolRunner CPLD family.

Prior to this, he held various marketing management positions at Integrated Device Technology (IDT), including FIFO Division Marketing Manager, Major Accounts Manager, and European Marketing Manager.

Mr. Lewis holds a BSEET degree from DeVry Institute of Technology.

 

Per Holmberg
Marketing Manager, LogiCore Products

Mr. Holmberg has been active in the electronics market since 1984 and specifically the programmable logic market since 1987 in sales management as well as product marketing positions. In 1994 he joined Xilinx and is currently the marketing manager for LogiCore solutions-the leading program for delivering system-level modules (SLMs) to the FPGA community. His responsibilities as product manager include product definition, market analysis, product introductions and promotions, as well customer sales support for the LogiCore product lines.

Per's prior experience includes ASIC design support and EDA tool integration and training at Ericsson Telecom in Sweden. He holds technical degrees from College in Kristinehamn, Sweden and a diploma of Business Administration from the Institute of Higher Marketing in Stockholm Sweden.

 

Howard Bogrow
Marketing Manager, Hi-Reliability/Military

Mr. Bogrow began his Xilinx career in 1990 and is currently responsible for all product marketing and business management activities for Xilinx Hi-reliability/military product lines. He brings to the marketing organization 20-plus years of marketing management experience. Mr. Bogrow held previous positions at Intel in memory components, Integrated Design Technology in SRAMs, S-MOS Systems and Toshiba America in ASICs.

He holds a BSEE degree from Arizona State University and an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix.
