The Foundation Series Evaluation Kit will allow you to thoroughly evaluate
the Foundation Series software on a trial basis. The Evaluation Kit delivers
a complete, ready-to-use software solution that supports the full suite
of Xilinx devices. It incorporates design entry, synthesis, simulation,
and FPGA / CPLD implementation tools into a powerful unified design environment.

What you get in the Foundation Series Evaluation Kit
The Evaluation Kit delivers a 60-day trial of the Foundation Series software.
The evaluation software has been designed so that it does not generate
bitstream files, but its design capabilities are equivalent to the commercially
available Foundation Express product in every other respect.
The following CDs come with the Evaluation Kit:

Design Environment CD - This CD contains the Foundation Series software
tools, including the design entry, synthesis, simulation, and implementation
tools.

Online Documentation CD - This CD contains the Xilinx online documentation
suite and the DynaText browser used to view the online books. This CD also
contains an interactive tour of the Foundation Software.

CORE Generator CD - This CD contains the Xilinx CORE Generator System,
an easy-to-use design tool that delivers parameterizable cores optimized
for Xilinx FPGAs.

Esperan VHDL Tutorial CD - This CD contains an online
VHDL tutorial.

ModelSim Evaluation CD - This CD contains a 30-day evaluation of the ModelSim
PE simulation product. This product is licensed, sold, and supported by
Model
Technology, Inc.

Active-VHDL Evaluation CD - This CD contains a 30-day evaluation
copy of the Active-VHDL simulation product. This product is licensed, sold,
and supported by Aldec, Inc.
The Foundation Series Evaluation Kit also contains an ISP Starter Kit,
which is a JTAG download cable and a XC9536 CPLD
demo board. The Starter Kit allows you to do a complete XC9536 CPLD
design, including downloading your design onto the Xilinx XC9536 device
that is on the demo board.
The Evaluation Kit is available on PCs running Windows 95 and Windows
NT. Evaluation Kits are available through Xilinx Distributors.
