XC9500: "Single Cell Charge Loss" (SCCL) or "Single Bit Charge Loss" (SBCL)

Record #1701

Product Family: Hardware

Product Line: 9500

Product Part: 9500

Problem Title:
XC9500: "Single Cell Charge Loss" (SCCL) or "Single Bit Charge Loss" (SBCL)

Problem Description:
"Single Cell Charge Loss" is a failure whereby a single
programming cell may lose charge during normal device operation
or device storage. If this failure is present, then the
physical connection (corresponding to the defective cell)
inside the AND array may become slowly connected even when
programmed out.

This failure mode can cause a speed degradation (because of
erroneous influence from another signal that should be
disconnected) or a logic failure.

Solution 1:

We check 100% of the programming cells for
this condition using the industry-standard method of the wafer bake before
Wafer Sort #2.

Please refer to (Xilinx Solution 1700) for complete
Test Process for the XC9500 devices.
