Record #2510

Product Family: Software

Product Line: M1 Graphical/General

Product Part: Flow Engine

Product Version: 1.3

Problem Title:
Flow Engine M1: "object disconnected from client" in Flow Engine (RPC Unavailable)

Problem Description:
Urgency: HOT

General Description:
While running any part of the flow in Windows NT (NGDBUILD,
Map, PAR, Timing, BitGen) one of two error messages may
appear :

   "RPC unavailable" or
"The object invoked has been diconnected from it's client".

The implementation window then stays up until you close it. Clicking on the stop button brings up t he dialog window to
confirm abort, but doesn't seem to have any effect.

This error will only occur in the GUI. Running these tools
via the command line will not return this error.

Solution 1:

The machine may not have TCP/IP installed.

- Go to Start-->Settings-->Control Panel and select the Network icon.

- Install the TCP/IP protocol from the NT installation disk. This must be installed even if the mac hine will not be
accessing a network.
