Problem Title:
M1.3 CPLD: Synopsys I/O ports cause xr5100 and nd201 warnings and pin name changes.
Problem Description:
Urgency: hot
General Description:
Problem occurs in any CPLD Synopsys design containing bidi-I/O (inout) ports.
CPLD Fitter issues xr5100 warning "Inserting output buffer with name xxx/OBUF".
Solution 1:
For XC7300 designs, use the following steps:
1. Install the patch from the web site.
2. Create a xc7300 directory in your $MYXILINX directory.
3. Create a data directory in your $MYXILINX/xc7300 directory.
4. Copy $MYXILINX/xc9500/data/xprim.ngl to $MYXILINX/xc7300/data
directory.
Restart the Xilinx software after making sure that your MYXILINX
variable is pointing to the myxilinx directory on your machine.
Solution 2:
Connectivity is correct. The CPLD fitter appends "/OBUF" to the original pin
name (warning xr5100). Since the pin name has been changed, the fitter removes
the original pin (warning nd201)
