1.5i Package Files - New Virtex package files are available in addition to those available
in 1.5i Service pack 2.
Problem Description:
The following new package files have been added in addition to those included in
1.5i Service Pack 2:
V50 - CS144, FG256, TQ144
V100 - FG256
V150 - BG256, FG256, FG456
V200 - BG256, FG256
V300 - none
V400 - FG676
V600 - FG676, FG680
V800 - FG676, FG680
V1000 - FG680
NOTE: Install order is important. Install the 1.5i SP2 Virtex Data File Update
(15i_sp2_virtex_data.exe) BEFORE the package file update (15i_pkg6_virtex).
Also, the 1.5i SP2 Implementation Update must be installed at some point (no
order dependency however).
NOTE: For those who previously installed the 15i_pkg5_virtex package file update,
please install this newer 15i_pkg6_virtex update without installing the Virtex Data
File Update again (15i_sp2_virtex_data.exe). This newer revision simply makes
updates to the V150-fg456, V200-fg456 and V400-fg676 packages. Some
unbonded pads were incorrectly represented as bonded pads.
Solution 1:
Download these new virtex packages from the 1.5i Software Updates Page:
http://support.xilinx.com/support/techsup/sw_updates/index.htm
To install, unzip or untar the file in the $XILINX directory while
maintaining directory structure.
