General Description:
When programming an FPGA in Hardware Debugger through the parallel port, the program pin goes low af
ter configuration thus erasing the fpga.
Solution 1:
This problem can be fixed by setting the following environment variable:
SET XIL_HWD_PCAB_FIX=1
Environment variables can be set in the autoexec.bat file for Windows 95/98.
The exact line above can be added to the file using the program "sysedit".
In Win NT right-click on the "My Computer" desktop icon, go to Properties,
and select the Environment tab.
The Variable is 'XIL_HWD_PCAB_FIX', Value is '1'.
Reboot the PC.
Solution 2:
Disconnect the parallel cable after configuration. This has worked when the program pin glitches se
veral minutes after configuration is completed.
