Problem Title:

2.1i COREGEN USER GUIDE: Permissions for $XILINX/coregen/ip directory do not need to be
777.

Problem Description:
Urgency: standard

General Description:
Chapter 2 of the CORE Generator User Guide for the 2.1i release incorrectly
states that the $XILINX/coregen/ip directory must have permissions of 777
(global Read, Write, and Execute Permissions).

Solution 1:

This statement was based on what was known at the time of publishing
In fact, the $XILINX/coregen/ip directory only needs global
Read and Execute permissions (755). The main requirement is that the
resources.lib FILE in $XILINX/coregen/ip have universal Write permissions for
proper operation of COREGen. It is not critical that the "ip" directory have
its permissions set in this manner.
