Subject: Product Discontinuance Notification Update (PDN97008A). "Discontinuation of the XC7000 Product Families (including XC7200 and XC7300)." Products Affected: All XC7200 and XC7300 Products (all packages, all speed grades). Change Description: The above products are being discontinued. Reason For Change: The foundry that produces the XC7200 and XC7300 products has informed Xilinx of the intent to discontinue their 0.85µm EPROM process technology. Due to the high percentage of applications for the above family of products that have already been converted to the state-of-the-art XC9500 product family and given the obsolete nature of the XC7000 technology, we are accelerating the discontinuation of the XC7000 products. Key Dates: Last date to order any of the above products is now 30 September 1998 with final delivery on or before 30 December 1998. We will continue to mitigate any issues. Please contact your Xilinx sales representative for details. Response: No response to this notification is required.
