This module introduces the basic functions of how to use the HDL and State
Editor for design entry.
Objectives
After completing this training, student will be able to:
- List the different types
of languages that can be used with the HDL editor
- Describe how to insert code
from the Language Assistant Library
- List the five types of actions
that can be used in a FSM diagram
- State why large binary encoded
state machines usually perform slower than one-hot encoded state machines
in FPGAs
