Overview

Dillon Engineering is a ten-year-old engineering firm which provides services for the development of advanced electronic products. We take your new product from the concept stage, through prototype design and checkout, to full scale manufacturing.

The staff at Dillon Engineering will design a client's product to given specifications or will work with the client in developing a specification and design. These specifications take into account the target market, the product environment, available components and their lead times.

Our emphasis has been on designs that utilize Xilinx FPGAs. Some of the products that Dillon Engineering has designed or co-developed with clients include:

  • Microprocessor emulators for Intel's 80C186xx, 386EX and 80Kx196, and AMD's AM186xx microprocessor families
  • Custom Processor on a chip with hardware/software co-design capabilities
  • Video Graphics Accelerator
  • Image Recognition Systems
  • High Speed Communications Links
  • Point-of-Sale Transaction Processing Systems

Specialization

Dillon Engineering specializes in the design of Xilinx FPGAs. Services are provided for the following tasks in the design process:

  • Initial Specification, device fit estimate
  • Verilog or VHDL Test Bench creation
  • Verilog or VHDL Design Entry and Synthesis
  • FPGA or System level simulation
  • Place and Route using Xilinx tools
  • In-Circuit Verification

Other Xilinx services provided include the following:

  • Conversion of existing designs to Xilinx FPGA
  • Training, Dillon Engineering's experience can guide your staff through their first FPGA design, significantly reducing your time to market

Dillon Engineering has designed over 60 FPGAs. The knowledge gained from this experience has resulted in a design methodology tailored to FPGA design. Our design methodology is optimized for implementation speed and accuracy; our design methodology minimizes time consuming in-circuit debugging.
