Internet Audio (MP3) Reference Design

The Xilinx Internet Audio (MP3) reference design is based on the CoolRunner
XPLA3 CPLD and the Micronas MAS3507D MP3 decoder. The reference design
provides a low power consumption, low-cost and efficient solution for a
fully featured MP3 Internet audio player, where time-to-market is paramount.

Supports MPEG2.5 (MPEG2 layer 3 low bit rate)

4MB FLASH memory for music storage

Extremely low power consumption

CoolRunner CPLD consumes only 1.1mA during operation

CoolRunner CPLD consumes only 70uA during standby
The CoolRunner XPLA3 is used as the system controller. The functional diagram
