If your document contains xref elements, then you can turn on page number references to enable the reader to find the reference more easily in print. Set the insert.xref.page.number parameter to yes. Note that link elements do not get a page number reference.

The default format of the page reference is set by the page.citation gentext template. You can control the style of an individual xref by adding an xrefstyle attribute to it. See the section “Customizing cross references” for more information.
