I will separately send the below files to Mark so he can review
them, and
if he chooses as chair, include them in an appropriate area on
eda.org.
Hopefully, they will not identify me as a system-level-design weenie
- I
really just have a wide-ranging background and ahve always tried to
clearly define all the true requirements constraints on whatever I
was
designing (or supporting via EDA).

The attached is the current collection of files for the System Level
Design subgroup on Requirements definition and requirements capture
(RRC). There is an order to follow as it will understand the role
of each file:
1. Req61001.rtf (10/1/96) - notes from a breakout group from the
system level design kickoff meeting in Dallas, Tx., seeking to
identify the overall process, direction, and approach needed to
identify system level requirements information.
2. Rwg70409 (4/9/97) - RRC subgroup kickoff material from the 1-st
SLD meeting (at Cadence in San Jose) as we started to define what we
meant by requirements/constraints and some of the system level
design needs for capturing and handling them during the system level
design part of an overall product design flow.
3. Reqmts.rtf (4/10/97) - From 1-st meeting on system level design
at Cadence - overall discussion and first pass at defining
requirements/constraints areas to be considered at the system level
of design
4. Clasattr.rtf (4/14/97) - further refinement of the overall
requirments areas from a 'class' POV
5. Sld70708.txt (7/8/97) - RRC subgroup report on results at the end
of the 2d SLD meeting in Italy.
6. RRC71025.txt (10/21/97) - report of our RRC subgroup summarizing
and drawing conclusions of next steps following the SLD meeting in
Italy.
