[$ieee-1850] Election of officers for the IEEE-1850 PSL working group -- results

Dear colleagues,

These are the results of the elections for the offices of Chair, Vice-Chair
and Secretary of the IEEE-1850 PSL working group.

The nominees were:
Nominee for Chair: Harry Foster
Nominee for Vice-chair: Yaron Wolfsthal
Nominee for Secretary: Erich Marschner

10 entities sent in approval votes. Each of the entities approved all of
the three nominees for their respective offices. These are the entities who
have sent in their votes:

Cadence (Erich Marschner)
Synopsys (Surrendra Dudani)
IBM (Yaron Wolfsthal)
Safelogic (Johan Mårtensson)

STMicroelectronics (Lyes Benalycherif)
Mentor Graphics (Steve Bailey)
Sun Microsystems (Tom Thatcher)

According to the Policies and Procedures, "The nominee with the greatest
number of approval votes shall win the election". Therefore, each of the
three nominees has been elected for his respective office.

This result is not affected by the working-group decision regarding voting
rights, as the outcome is the same whether we count member votes only or
include non-member votes.

According to the P&P's, this result is subject to confirmation by the
Sponsor Coordinating Committee.
