Members of the IEEE 1850 PSL working group,

Following is an update on the progress towards the final IEEE 1850 PSL LRM:

On June 7, the LRM subcommittee met to review approximately 300 specific comments that were received during the balloting process. The vast majority of these are editorial comments. Based on pre-meeting assessments of the comments by six working group members, the LRM SC

 - accepted without discussion 240 issues (those with an aggregate score of 5 or 6)
 - rejected with minimal discussion 9 issues (those with an aggregate score less than 0)
 - discussed the 55 remaining issues, and of those,
8 were summary comments (so were accepted to the exent that the detail comments were)
15 were accepted with no change after discussion
10 were accepted with some changes after discussion
4 were accepted with specific changes TBD after discussion
    11 were rejected after discussion
7 were identified as issues to be discussed with IEEE editors

Later that week, the working group officers met with Noelle Humenick and Jennie Steinhagen of the IEEE to resolve the 7 editorial issues.

This week, Harry and Erich will complete the ballot comment resolution spreadsheet and an update of the LRM to reflect the accepted comments. The spreadsheet needs a bit more work to combine various commentators' inputs, and the notes from the LRM subcommittee meeting, to explain the resolution of each comment. The LRM will be updated with the approved changes, and a 'difference' version will be generated to highlight the changes relative to P1850/D7. All three documents will be sent out to the full working group when they become available, and the same documents will be used for the recirculation process.

No meeting will occur this week. We may have a meeting of the working group next Tuesday (June 28). If so, a meeting announcement and agenda will be sent out beforehand.

Regards,

Erich Marschner,
Secretary, IEEE 1850 PSL WG
