Embedded Systems Conference Report

Hi,

I presented my tutorial on SCE-MI and how to write transactors
using SCE-MI last Wednesday at the ESC in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the attendance.
Altogether, there were 5 attendees in the first half, 2 in the
second. Of these 5, 2 were from Mentor, 1 from Aptix, and 1
from Zaiq. There was only one (1) attendee that might possibly
have represented an interested potential SCE-MI customer.
Unfortunately, this person left at the end of the first half
of my tutorial before I had a chance to talk to him some more.

My conclusion is that ESC is not the right forum for SCE-MI
related topics, at least not at this time. It is also possible
that corporate limitations on conference spending reduced
attendance.

It might be a good idea to think about how we can generate more
interest in SCE-MI outside of the committee.
