Thanks, John.  I'd like to encourage people to keep an open mind
when analyzing John's changes.  Don't get hung up on the specific
details of his proposal but rather think of it as a proposal for
what an attribute based syntax might look like.  Given this it
should be possible to analyze the proposal for feasibility.
