Correction: You don't need the input_or_output arg
in these. That was already specified when the pipe_handle
was derived.

Here's a corrected version:

int dpi_pipe_c_get_depth(
     void *pipe_handle )      // input: pipe handle

void dpi_pipe_c_set_depth(
   void *pipe_handle,       // input: pipe handle
   int depth );             // input: number of elements
