P1666 news and meeting date/time request

Hi,

The IEEE Standards Activity Standards Board has approved the P1666 PAR, so we are official!

Also, OSCI has signed a contract with the IEEE to provide funding for technical consulting and writing. The IEEE contracts with the technical consultant (John Aynsley) and writer (Sofie Vandeputte) are either signed or in final process. This has been a somewhat cumbersome process, but it had to be completed this way for various reasons. However, we are now ready to start moving.

I have already indicated that we'll be meeting F2F and in teleconference on February 24 during DVCon. I would also like to set up another teleconference meeting for next week, specifically for Thursday February 18 from 7-8 AM PST. I'll wait a day or so to send out an Outlook meeting proposal. For those of you who represent voting entities, if you or an alternate representative cannot make it at that time, let me know. If there are enough of you that cannot make that time, we'll seek an alternate time/day.

I am still looking for a technical chair.
