As Chair of the IEEE P1666 WG, I wish to inform you that ST Microelectronics has made a patent claim with regards to the forthcoming P1666 standard, and has filed a Letter of Assurance (LoA) in connection with this patent claim. This LoA can be found on the IEEE PatCom web site http://standards.ieee.org/about/sasb/patcom/pat1390.html. The IEEE takes no position with regard to the validity or essentiality of the patent claim.
