It's not clear that $abstime should return 0 in an AC analysis.
In some cases, we have users run a transient to a certain time,
then they want to perform a small-signal analysis of the circuit
at that operating point. In that case, an independent sinusoidal
source should be set to the value at the time where the transient
was stopped.
