IEEE rules do not permit the use of examples as part of a definition. That
is to say, the examples are not normative -- they are only in the nature of
comments. It is important to guarantee that the text describes the general
case unambiguously.

The diagram shows a module "e2c" which is not mentioned, and the text
describes
"c2e" which is not shown.

I would suggest doing two diagrams: one showing the circuit described by
the user, and one showing the circuit as seen by the simulator with the
D2As connecting into the analog domain and the A2D providing the
resolved value to d2.
