Hi Ian,
Graham & Myself would also like to work on scheduling semantics
for events in Analog. The current LRM is very unclear as to
when cross and timer events would be fired, and we would like
to submit a proposal with regards to events.

I explained this problem during the committee meeting, as to
when these events should take place and how the dynamic expression
arguments for these events are evaluated and take effect..., by
having a proposal for sime kind of post-step evaluation for these
events.
I will try to get the proposal out as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any issues about me taking this up.

For example,

analog begin
  period = 0.5
  ...
  ...
  @timer(expr, period) begin
    ...
    ...
    period = 1.2;
    ...
  end

  period = 1.0;
end

#Proposal for work groups and members:
#
# 1. Mixed signal initialization and simulation cycle (including
# alignment with VHDL-AMS semantics): Peter, Dan, Martin
#
# 2. Semantics and synchronization of cross-domain access: Ian,
# Martin, Graham
#
#Deliverables: statement of the issues and what the group expects
#to provide for resolution. If possible I'd like to have this
#available for a phone meeting some time next week (4/2 - 4/6).

#Please contact me if you are in one of the two workgroups (or
#would like to be, or would like to initiate a new one).

#Thanks,
