Hello,
From the discussion in today's OVI meeting the following resolution have
been made concerning the issues surrounding number, operator and
constant expression syntax (as document in previous posted emails).
- The 1364-1995 decimal_number syntax will be used instead of the
Verilog-AMS syntax.
- The 1364-1995 unary_operator syntax will be used instead of the
Verilog-AMS syntax.
- Combine the Verilog-AMS and 1364-1995 syntax into a single syntax.
This involves:
- Nature attribute references and built in functions syntax available
in any constant expression.
- Extend parameter references to include array-item parameter
references.
- Exclude the constant_array_expression syntax from constant
expressions. This syntax is only used when specific statements and
declaration syntax.
- Update constant_array_init_element syntax to properly handle
multiple concatenations.
If there is anything that has been omitted or incorrect, please let me
know.
Attached is the updated syntax.
Regards
Graham
