Resend -----Original Message----- From: owner-verilog-ams@server.eda-stds.org [mailto:owner-verilog-ams@server.eda-stds.org] On Behalf Of Ken Kundert Sent: Friday, June 16, 2006 7:15 PM To: Geoffrey.Coram Cc: Verilog-AMS LRM Reflector Subject: Re: Merged version of chapter 6 Geoffrey, I also went back through all the LRMs and was surprised that nowhere was the disabling feature described. And was further surprised when Marq reported that even the Cadence simulators do not support the feature because I remember using this feature on occasion. I was so confident of this that I described this feature in my book. I imagine what happened is that we forgot to describe this feature in the original versions of the LRM, and during some clean up of the LRM someone who was unfamiliar with the feature added the restriction that the direction must either be +1, -1, 0, or unspecified, and that later someone at Cadence saw this new restriction and removed the feature from Spectre & AMS Designer. However, that is all beside the point now. The question remains: how do we provide an easy and efficient way to disable cross. There seems to be two choices. Either use the direction indicator or add an additional argument. My preference is to use the direction indicator, but it is not a strong preference. -KenReceived on Sat Jun 17 23:05:27 2006
