Digital has two types of file descriptors, the multi-channel descriptors (from V-1995) and the file descriptors (from V-2001). The mcd's were not deprecated. They are more limited than fd's overall, but they do have this advantage over fd's, to be able to write to multiple channels (files) simultaneously. Did I miss something? The multiple channel descriptors have an advantage over the normal file descriptors that you can combine them to write to multiple file in one command. If digital doesn't deprecate them, then I would suggest that we don't either. Noted corrections/actions; * bits2real, real2bits should be usable in the analog context * action: Martin and David to resolved whether the math operator and math system function equivalence table should be chapter 10 or chapter 4. * create a section 10.2.1 for $driver functions. * say @(driver_update(..) not driver_update in the table in 10.2.1 * remove two 's's in 10.3, add "if required." * typo: reject(ed). * be clear that file should not be written until the step accepted. file read/write in same iteration is not supported. * add Note to editor that the table number need to be update * action: Check Null operator in Verilog HDL ( ',,') and see if Verilog AMS HDL has consistent definition. ANSWER: yes Verilog HDL has the same definition. * Allow File I/O system tasks in both contexts to use file descriptors opened in either contexts. * reword 1st paragraph in section 10.4.3 to flow better. * 10.5 - change title to be consistent with the table name in section 10.2 * copy a lot more text from V2005 to make section 10.5 more self contained for analog users. Make sure that the syntax block is consistent with V2005 equivalent. * deprecate multiple channel file descriptor in analog. * Change footer to say 2.3 with Accellera copyright * action: Martin to send framemaker doc to Patrick Next Meeting ------------ Date & Time: 8 Feb 2007, 9-10pm Pacific Call-In Details: USA Toll Free Number: 877-346-8823 USA Toll Number: +1-203-320-0407 (for intl) Participant Passcode: 602538 The new call times are: 09:00 PM Pacific (Thursday) 11:00 PM Central (Thursday) Midnight Eastern 06:00 AM Eindhoven (Friday) 10:30 AM India (Friday) 03:30 AM Adelaide (Friday) -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner <http://www.mailscanner.info/> , and is believed to be clean. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.Received on Mon Feb 5 00:24:04 2007
