Sending minutes from LRM call on the 30th Aug for the third time. Seems to be an email problem with the reflector. Dave -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Minutes LRM Committee Meeting - 30th Aug 2007 Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2007 14:36:36 -0500 From: David Miller <David.L.Miller@freescale.com> To: Verilog-AMS LRM Committee <verilog-ams@eda.org> Attendees: Geoffrey Coram - Analog Devices Marq Kole - NXP Patrick O'Halloran - Tiburon Mark - Tiburon Sri Chandra - Freescale David Miller - Freescale Reviewed additional changes to chapter 4: Section 4.4.4: Added in example and figure from Ken's original proposal. Only comment was to go through some of the wording of the section to make it more formal. Section 4.5.4.3 - noise_table(). This change was to allow overloading of the first argument to noise_table to allow it to be either a string (representing a file name) or a vector. Minor changes were: * vector should not be italic anymore. * input should be in italics. * filename is actually two words, file name. * Allow the new string variable type for the file name but mention that if the variable is modified during the simulation, the change is ignored. * The is no need for the frequency to be specified in ascending order. Simulators can sort it internally. look at table model and use similar wording. Section 10.2 - $simprobe * In the context table for $simprobe, disallow it in the digital world. * Also misspelling of simulation in the table header. Section 10.8 - $finish * Check the syntax box, seems to be missing ]. Section 10.17 - $simprobe * New string variable type can be used where strings are required. Also there is not restriction on the string variable changing during simulation. * refer to output variables instead of parameters, or output parameters. * Few changes to the example - make threshold unrestricted - look at other example where we instantiate spice models. May want to change the device names to spice_pmos, spice_nmos. - Just check the formating of the strings to make sure they are terminated with a ". - To be consistent have a space between the if ( * Change the wording to be from "error is generated" to "error shall be generated." * use $finish instead of $stop() Need to check with Martin regarding chapters 10.5 and 10.6. Cheers...
