Date: 18th Nov 2009 Dave Cronauer, Synopsys Martin O'Leary, Cadence Prabal Bhattacharya, Cadence Ian Wilson, Berkeley DA Marq Kole, NXP Ken Bakalar, Mentor Graphics Boris Troyanovsky, Tiburon Sri Chandra, Freescale Dave Miller, Freescale Objective of this meeting was to go through the "AMS Enhancement" items to identify the ones we want to do / close / group into common items etc. Item 2803: - Has been addressed as part of "Cleanup" items. Item 840: - dealing with the system function $isPortsShorted. The consensus was this functionality is not needed. Moving item to reject/close. Item 955: conditional net discipline coercion Item 1754: Support for auto-connecting implicit ports Item 2343: Connect modules instances should be on lower side of ports Item 1765: Correction of names/insertion point for connect modules. It was felt that all four of these have a common thread and can be addressed as the one item. A new item will be created to cover these four. Require volunteer to take up and work on this item. Item 828: Regarding light-weight conversion functions. Will be moved to postponed and re-investigated once we have an understand of how types and type conversion will work on SV-AMS. Item 2281 - disciplines and wreal Item 2162 - Need ability to assign 'z' state to wreal. Item 2160 - reals and integers should be able to drive event-driven ports All three of these items are addressing the usage and definition of wreal. With the moving to SV, we want to be sure we don't duplicate too much work once we inherit the "real valued" ports from SV. Martin has volunteered to work on the wreal item. Item 936: Enhance analog/digital event control. Will delay this until we have a clearer understanding of how events will work in SV-AMS. Some of these new features may be required for the assertion work.. Item 937: Will look into this further as part of AMS Enhancements. Need to to be careful on the scope of where the net attributes can be modified. Item 2566: Item 829: VPI issues. Moving to closed. We will not be implementing any changes to the existing VPI feature set. Item 2378: Deprecate wreal. Moving to closed. We won't be deprecating wreal. Item 866: Back-Annotation support is non-existent. need to follow up if we really need this. If we do wish to go ahead with this, we need to investigate similar (if any) features in SV to make sure that we align. Item 1854: Parameter aliases for hierarchical system parameters. This was just overlooked in 2.3.1. David will clean this up as part of the "cleanup" items. Item 2159: Contributing to a port-branch. For now we will postpone this. The bigger problem regarding this is that we explicitly disallow the contribution/assignment to any analog OOMR quantities. So even if we allowed contribution to port branches, the use as outlined in the Mantis item would still be prohibited. Next call will be first week of December (2/3rd) We will go through the remaining items (820, 825, 935, 934, 845, 814) and also discuss how to move forward on the SV-AMS integration.
