* Discussion on Verilog-AMS presentation at the P1800 meeting
- Kevin mentioned that direct integration of AMS within P1800 would
be the best approach (adding Verilog-AMS as a chapter to P1800)
- Ken felt that P1800 went through a major integration just recently
(merging P1364 with P1800); even tho' the languages were fundamentally
the same, it took enormous effort to integrate; P1800 may not view
kindly to direct integration
- All the options are being put forth to the P1800 committee for
discussion
- Ken (Mentor) will be presenting the Verilog-AMS presentation at the
meeting on Feb 26th. Kevin, Martin, Jonathan also plan to attend this
meeting in person.
* Opening a donation window for 'wreal'
- Martin from Cadence moved for opening a donation window for a wreal
proposal.
- The proposal covers aspects raised on wreal through Mantis and
enhancements to wreal done by Cadence.
- This proposal is provided as a donation; some of the aspects of
this proposal has been patented. As part of the donation, if the
donation is accepted the patents will be licensed to Accellera.
- Kevin mentioned that the there is a proposal to deprecate wreal
which has been open for few years. His opinion is that this should be
handled as part of SV integration.
- Jonathan from Qualcomm commented that Qualcomm might be interested
in putting a proposal for wreal as part of this donation window; he will
confirm this in a week's time.
- The Cadence donation will be discussed in 2 weeks time; and then
subsequently voted for accept/reject. Accepting donation transfers the
document to Accellera - updates and modifications can be made under
Accellera (if accepted).

Sri
