Hi Paul,

The nodeset calculation is part of the DC analysis and must be considered an intermediate step in the Newton process. Results of $random will be the same in every iteration of a simulation until the solution has converged, i.e. has been accepted by the solver. So your feeling is correct. :-)

Subject: nodeset+random

Hi

Should $random generate different values in the nodeset calculation and
the next calculation, e.g., at time 0? (My feeling is that $random
should generate the same values, but I can't see anything in the LRM
that states this explicitly).

Regards
Paul Floyd
