VITAL 98 Overview & Workshop at FDL '98

Improvements and enhancements to VITAL 95 specification are nearing
completion. At the upcoming Forum on Design Languages (FDL 98)
conference in Lausanne, Switzerland, a one hour overview will be
presented on VITAL 98. Following this presentation, a workshop with
labs will be conducted. The agenda for the two events are as follows:

VITAL 98 Update
Date: 9 September
Time: 8:4am5 - 9:45am
1. Updated VITAL Timing Checks
2. Improved Timing Accuracy
- Preemption of DefaultDelay scheduled values
- Negative preemption
3. Independent Control of Timing Check & Glitch Messages
4. Multi-Source Interconnect
5. Skew Checks
6. Memory Models

The VITAL workshop will cover these topics plus will offer a VITAL 95
background for those whom are not that familiar with the VITAL modeling
standard. Thus, the workshop is useful to both the expert and the
novice.

The VITAL Workshop will be help on 9 September from 10:00am - 5:00pm
with breaks for lunch and during the afternoon.

There will be four labs on VITAL to demonstrate the new timing accuracy
features and memory model extensions.

If you would like to attend the one hour update presentation or the
workshop, you will need to register for the FDL 98 conference.

The workshop will be repeated in other geographic regions and will be
announced when details are finalized.
