located in: ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/M1.3_alliance/li_pc.zip for M1.3 and
ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/M1.4_alliance/li_pc.zip for M1.4 respectively
Solution 1:
Installation/Use:
Unzip files and copy into paths as follows:
For PC: (Following files are license executables required to startup license man
ager v5.0 required to run Xilinx M1 tools)
zip file: license_pc.zip (use Pkzip,zip or WinZip or related utiltiy)
files when unzipped: lmutil.exe, xilinxd.exe, lmgrd.exe, lmgr325a.dll
(1) Copy files into following directory:
<drive>:\xilinx\bin\nt\
For example: c:\xilinx\bin\nt\lmutil.exe
\lmgrd.exe
\lmgr325a.dll
\xilinxd.exe
(2) Setup LM_LICENSE_FILE variable:
For win95:
a. Add the following line to your autoexec.bat file
set LM_LICENSE_FILE=C:\flexlm\license.dat
For winNT 4.0:
a. Add the following line to your environment settings(user
variables)
Start Menu->Control Panel->system icon->Environment tab
(3) Set Server and path to point to xilixnd.exe in license.dat file.
Example of license.dat file:
SERVER gene
DAEMON xilinxd c:\xilinx\bin\nt\xilinxd.exe
(4) How to start License Manager?
c:\xilinx\bin\nt\lmgrd -app -c c:\flexlm\license.dat
note: minimize ms-dos prompt after starting license manager.
Do not quit ms-dos prompt.
