ISE Foundation Evaluation Software

The Xilinx ISE Foundation Evaluation Kit contains everything you need to create designs for any of our programmable logic devices, including the industry fastest Virtex™-II Platform FPGAs, the powerful and affordable Spartan-II™E FPGAs, and the ultra low power Coolrunner™/II CPLDs.

This evaluation kit gives you 60 days of design experience, with no limits, no investment, and no problems. All that we ask is that you register this CD so we can inform you of any new devices or features that we may add. This kit includes the ISE Foundation 4.1i Evaluation CD which contains all the tools needed to complete your design, including design entry, synthesis, and implementation tools. In addition, a copy of the ModelSim Xilinx Edition CD is provided, which contains a variety of HDL simulation products from Model Technology, Inc.

The Xilinx ISE software provides a seamlessly integrated HDL design environment which helps you get your design to market as fast as possible. ISE offers advanced capabilities that enable you to efficiently create, optimize, and verify your programmable logic design.

Installation Instructions

• Installing ISE 4.1i software:
  • Run setup.exe from the ISE Foundation 4.1i Evaluation CD root directory
  • For more information on installation and system requirements refer to the ISE Release Notes and Installation Guide located at http://support.xilinx.com/support/sw_manuals/xilinx4/download/
• Installing ModelSim Xilinx Edition software:
  • Select Partner Products->Install ModelSim Xilinx Edition from the Xilinx ISE Foundation program group (ModelSim Xilinx Edition CD must be inserted)
  • Select the Evaluation Edition to receive a 30-day evaluation license
  • Please visit http://support.xilinx.com/mxelibs/ to download the latest MXE libraries.
