Created as the Semiconductor IP Group of Phoenix Technologies
Ltd. by the integration of Virtual Chips, Sand Microelectronics,
and the Interconnect Firmware Group of Award software, inSilicon
was formed as an independent company by Phoenix Technologies in
1999.
