Use the simulation tool to run pre- and post-synthesis and post-layout simulation. You can run simulation at any time: pre-synthesis (if you have source files), post-synthesis, or post-layout.
Click the Simulation button to start simulation in the default state, or right-click to select from a list of simulation options.
Use the Profiles dialog box to change your default simulation tool.
You can start your simulation with out of date inputs. Just ignore the exclamation icon in the shortcut menu and select the file.
