SIMPRIMS: Alliance 2.1 changes from 1.5i (or older) for Verilog SIMPRIMS simulation
Problem Description:
Urgency: HOT
The format and usage of the SIMPRIMS Verilog simulation libraries have changed
from the previous version of the software.
The SIMPRIMS library is used for post-NGD2VER simulation after NGDBUILD,
MAP, or PAR. The library contains generic simulation primitives.
Please see (Xilinx Solution 6534) regarding changes to the UNISIMS
library.
Solution 1:
1> The file extensions have been changed from .vmd to .v
2> Port names were changed from IN* to I* and OUT* to O* to be standard with
the VHDL models since "in" and "out" are reserved words in VHDL.
Therefore, any Logiblox modules generated in 1.5i will not simulate using the 2.1i
SIMPRIMS libraries.
3> The library location for the simprims library in 2.1i is
$XILINX/verilog/src/simprims/*.v
