01 August 1997 Subject: Product Discontinuance Notification (PDN97008). "Discontinuation of the XC7000 Product Families (including XC7200 and XC7300)." Products Affected: All XC7200 and XC7300 Products (all packages, all speed grades). Change Description: The above Products are being discontinued. Reason For Change: The foundry that has produced the XC7200 and XC7300 products is discontinuing their .85µm EPROM process technology. Based on this we are migrating our customers to a FLASH-based CMOS product. Device Replacement Guidelines: The XC9500 family is the suggested
replacement family for current XC7200 and XC7300 applications. The XC9500
family is already in volume production. Qualification samples are currently
available through our authorized distributors. Please refer to the attached Key Dates: For latest availability, please see PDN97008A, Product Discontinuance Notification Update. Response: No response to this notification is required. Requests
for additional data or support should be made within 90 days of notification.
