the Alliance Series software on a trial basis. The Evaluation Kit delivers
a complete, ready-to-use software solution that will allow you to implement
programmable logic designs into the full suite of Xilinx devices.
The Alliance Series software supports a wide range of EDA vendors and
design entry techniques, including schematic capture, language-based design
entry, and module-based methodologies. Using the Alliance Series, a digital
designer can select the EDA design entry and simulation environment that
is appropriate for their FPGA / CPLD application and combine it with Xilinx's
powerful Design Implementation Tools. |

What You Get in the Alliance Series Evaluation Kit
The Evaluation Kit delivers a 60-day trial of the Alliance Series software.
The evaluation software
has been designed so that it does not generate bitstream files, but
its design capabilities are
equivalent to the commercially available Alliance Series product in
every other respect.
The following CDs come with the Alliance Series Evaluation Kit:
Design
Implementation Tools for PCs - This CD contains the Xilinx software
tools that
run on the Win95 and WinNT platforms.
Design
Implementation Tools for Solaris - This CD contains the Xilinx
software tools
that run on a Unix platform running
the Solaris 2.5 and 2.6 operating system.
Design Implementation Tools for HPUX - This CD contains the Xilinx
software tools that
run on a Unix platform running the HPUX
10.2 operating system.
CAE
Interfaces CD - This CD contains libraries and interfaces for Viewlogic,
Synopsys,
Mentor, and Cadence and the EDIF libraries
and interfaces for supporting other CAE
vendors.
Online
Documentation CD - This CD contains the Xilinx online documentation
and the
DynaText browser used to view the online
books.
CORE
Generator CD - The Xilinx CORE Generator System is an easy-to-use design
tool
that delivers parameterizable cores
which are optimized for Xilinx FPGAs.
ModelSim
Evaluation CD - This CD contains a 30-day evaluation of the ModelSim
PE
simulation product. This product is
licensed, sold, and supported by Model
Technology, Inc.
The Evaluation Kit is available on PCs running Windows 95 and Windows
NT and on workstations
running Solaris and HPUX. Evaluation Kits are available through Xilinx
Distributors.
